This project required a conversion from a one-bedroom apartment into two bedrooms with two full baths. We replaced all the 150mm thick existing brick walls with 75mm thick light weight Aerocon walls to create the desired spaces. The kitchen and storage hugged the periphery walls creating an acoustic barrier while providing a kitchen counter and storage units.
Every space was naturally lit and ventilated. The guest room wall was made of wooden louvers which provided cross ventilation and a visual connect to the living spaces. The material palette used in the apartment including the kitchen was teak wood and white laminate to provide a balance between warmth and a sense of space within this tight space.
