Roy Residence

Gurugram, Haryana

Area: 880 sqft

Year: 2017

This apartment in a gated complex in Delhi, had a conventional layout. By eliminating a wall along the corridor, it flooded the space with light and air and gave the illusion of more space

The louvers further down the corridor, help to open up the space even more. The earthy colour palette binds the different spaces in the residence.

A painted exposed-brick wall, a few niches for artifacts, a little attention to lighting… add up to offer comfort in the living room. The modular kitchen forms the connective tissue in this house, linking all the spaces through it. The pristine white cabinets in the kitchen contrast well with the natural stone dado. The black stone bathroom and white painted brick wall continue the rustic choices of the client. The niches in the brick wall provide a defined space for her collection of artefacts.
